Burgers Anyone?

Having worked in fast food FOREVER, I thought this Mini Burger Cookies Recipe from Betty Crocker was just the cutest thing I've ever seen.  So I attempted this today with my three and four year old.  It did not go so well.  There were a number of problems: the cookies were too big for the thin  mints, I got the wrong brand of icing, the girls are VERY impatient.  I really recommend Betty Crocker brand of squeeze icing if you're going to do this.  The points are very small on the bags and the icing flows very nicely.  The kind I got had a wide tip and was really chunky.  I will attempt then again on a Sunday afternoon while the kids are asleep with regular sized thin mints.  I'll post pictures then.  If anyone else attempts this let me know how it goes!

  1. I made these as a girl scout and also did a post about these a while back :) I use vanilla wafers for the cookies...they are the perfect size :) Yours are way prettier than mine!

  2. Oh NO! Those are the pictures from the Betty Crocker site. Mine were so pitiful I was ashamed. My girls were thrilled, but wouldn't eat them. I may try wafers next time, that's a great idea! Much easier than trying to whip up 40 perfect sugar cookies with two moneys rooting around the kitchen wanting to know when they can eat all the cookies and how much icing they can put all over them.
